A tissue paper machine is essentially a highly integrated automated papermaking production line. Its core structure can be viewed as two major systems: the “wet part” and the “dry part,” which are responsible for turning pulp into the finished paper we are familiar with.
Wet End: Pulp Forming and Dewatering
Headbox: it evenly sprays the pulp onto the forming wire.
Forming Section: The core is the forming wire or crescent former, where the pulp undergoes initial filtration and setting.
Press Section: Felt and press rolls apply pressure to the wet paper web, squeezing out more water and increasing its dryness before entering the drying cylinder.
Dry End: Drying, Crinkling, and Winding
Yankee Drying Cylinder: The traditional mainstream method, using a large cylinder several meters in diameter with a high-heat air hood for high-speed drying.
Crinkling and Winding: Scrapers on the drying cylinder create fine wrinkles, giving it a soft feel, and finally, it is wound into a large roll on the winding cylinder.
